Make an Impact in the Community
Right here in Washington County, families, seniors, veterans, and children are facing food insecurity. For many of our neighbors, a missed paycheck, medical bill, or unexpected expense can mean empty cupboards.
That’s where the Greater Washington County Food Bank steps in — serving communities across Washington County with compassion, dignity, and hope.
But they can’t do it alone.
Here’s How You Can Get Involved:
Make a Financial Gift
Every dollar goes further than you think. Your donation allows GWCFB to utilize our buying power to extend your dollars into three times the amount of food versus retail pricing.
Donate Food
Most-needed items include canned vegetables and fruit, peanut butter, pasta, rice, cereal, and other non-perishable staples.
Volunteer Your Time
Just a few hours packing boxes can directly impact a neighbor in need. Families, civic groups, businesses, and students are welcome.
Advocate & Spread the Word
Share our message. Ensure that everyone knows help is available and that they can be part of the solution.
Hunger doesn’t always look the way we expect. It may be a coworker. A classmate. A senior down the street. When Washington County comes together, we make sure no one has to choose between paying bills and putting food on the table.
Let’s show what community truly means.
Donate. Volunteer. Advocate.
Together, we can make a difference, right here at home.
